#55to55, day 9
Holy Confirmation. As a good Catholic girl, of course, I went through confirmation too. Unlike First Communion, this felt like a more solemn affair—complete with lessons to prepare us for carrying out Jesus’ work. I was quite active in church back then, almost by default. It was just what we did; it was the world I grew up in. Faith was central, and being part of the church choir came with it. Those were my friends. It was fun, kept us busy, kept us out of trouble. Looking back now, it feels like such a different life.
